Weekly Photo Challenge: Symmetry

A Basilica

Symmetry
(noun): “the quality of something that has two sides or halves that are the same or very close in size, shape, and
position; the quality of having
symmetrical parts.”

For this week’s theme on SYMMETRY
my photos from the Basilica of SACRE
COEUR in #Paris are presented:

On closer look, the portico of the
Church features a symmetrical
set of equestrian statues of St. Louis
and St. Joan made of Bronze material.

The Bryzantine/Romanesque
architecture of the Basilica is beautifully expressed in glass stained mosaic and travertine marble
throughout
the church.

Certainly, the Basilica is an imposing
majestic structure for all to admire .
It has been convivial for Parisian
locales and tourists to enjoy, above
all our utmost gratitude to its
architect/artist
Paul Abadie who built a Sanctuary
of Beauty!

    1. Absolutely agree with you- I was beyond speechless when I visited the Sacred Heart Cathedral . It is so beautiful without being overstated,
      grand without being overwhelming.
Thank you dear Seeker for your visit!
