Weekly Photo Challenge: Ephemeral

The Inconstant Moon

Ephemeral

adjective

1. lasting for a very short time.

I was wavering for this challenge that

Krista presented to us this week. There are

endless possibilities ~ life in general is

ephemeral, for the most part, things in

nature are ephemeral….

This photo comes to mind: Taken just

last winter in London.  For one unbelievably

brief moment, the beautiful full moon

was glowing while the clouds were

clear… my husband and I were out

walking after a late dinner.  The Tower

Bridge was glistening in the dark, the

sight was picture perfect!   While admiring

this beautiful sight, I recall Shakespeare’s

“Juliet” urging “Romeo”:

“O swear not by the moon,

  the inconstant moon

That monthly changes in her circled orb,

Lest that thy love

prove otherwise variable.”

There is no other way to state the obvious:

I am a true romantic who believes that

living is ephemeral, while love should be

eternal…

What you see with your eyes

are transient and ephemeral

What you see through your heart

is everlasting and eternal

    1. So true Tina ~ it was a perfect moment! But there lies the
ephemera of life isn’t it, sometimes grabs you by the wrist
in a sweet moment, or a little bump in the road ….and
we had our share of rain showers (lol). Thank you Tina!
