Weekly Photo Challenge: Blur

Misty Shadows

Michelle W. invites bloggers this week to

“capture an image of an experience that would

otherwise be a blur, or of something in a

state of flux.”

This photo was taken at the Universal City

Sheraton ~ at a charity event last fall…

It’s always tricky, stealing shots when there

are: (1) cars and (2) crowds…

Attempting to capture a vivid photo of the

drop lights on the trees and water fountains

was a bit challenging, so then, I tried the

long shot ….

Penrith, Cumbria ~ 2015

Motion blur in photography is something

new to me~~~ I have this photo above from

our trip in England which on first thought

I assumed was for deleting.  I KEPT it though,

for the only memory of the bone-chilling

night we took a walk in the woods, it was

misty and quiet. The trees were sage green,

the only lights were on the foot path. It  was

a silent night.

Snow Falls ~2014

“That’s quite all right, I said.

Sfumato, that’s what painters called it a blurring or elision of the lines, the kind

Leonardo had used to give his Mona Lisa

her beguiling flux.” ~ Paul Murray

      1. Gosh~ there are no words to express how magical it was …
Our regret was, it was an extremely short stay. The best excuse
to return : we need to see more of this beautiful city!

    1. Thank you so much Tina!
If not only for the bitingly cold night~ we
were just lucky to be at the perfect place
at the right time! Grateful for your visit 😊
