Weekly Photo Challenge: Broken

Shattered     Walls

Blessed are the hearts that bend,
they shall never be broken.
~ Albert Camus

The Mission Walls, 2013
At the San Juan Capistrano Mission, the

Gardens and lovely water fountains are

not the only visual feasts, but the various

architectural Adobe chapels and fortress

spread throughout the Church courtyard.

The wall shown above, although chipped,

fragmented on the edges, remains stable

and aesthetically pleasing through the years!

Hiking up The Great Wall, 2012
It never ceases to amaze me, that every

stone, wood and rock was   arduously laid by

the hands of millions of laborers for many,

centuries.   I am deeply humbled and

so grateful to have walked these steps…

The world breaks everyone,
and afterward, some are
strong at the broken places.
~ Ernest Hemingway

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend ~
    To families who’ve sacrificed honorable
heroes, we pay homage to them this
